Vanadium, a trace mineral, is involved in promoting normal insulin function. Although it is a very useful mineral, it is not found in many multivitamins. Among its many functions, it has been shown to lower blood sugar, increase muscle mass and increase blood flow. Vanadium is also thought to play a role in metabolism of carbohydrates and may have functions in cholesterol and blood lipid metabolism. Some promising studies have shown that mega-doses of vanadium nutritional supplements can improve blood glucose tolerance in type 2 diabetics1, however mega dosing of this or any mineral can cause harm and should only be undertaken under the advice and careful supervision of a physician.

I have friends that had to take courses in keyboarding before going any further with their computer training. Since I had completed an eleven month secretarial course, I did not need to take a keyboarding class. From word processing, I went into excel spreadsheets. I am still learning spreadsheets. With collecting data, spreadsheets are just what I need. I learned that even with word processing, one must keep a manual handy. I do not mind purchasing books to help me. There are so many features to software packages that you can save time by learning as many features as possible.
