The central aim of physiotherapy (physical therapy) is to restore proper functioning to the body. In the case of permanent disease or injury, the aim is to reduce the impact of the dysfunction. Contrary to popular belief, physiotherapists are not limited to the rehabilitation of sports injuries and back pain. As well as musculoskeletal injuries, physiotherapists can also manage neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injuries and cardiothoracic conditions like emphysema, asthma and chronic bronchitis. Physiotherapists can help a person to recover from surgery. How physiotherapy works , alone or in collaboration with other health care providers, will depend on the condition of the patient.

If you know someone who is in need of recovery from alcoholism in Texas, then make sure you give Mark Houston Recovery a call. Mark Houston Recovery is a drug and alcohol addiction recovery center located in Texas that is dedicated to helping adult males recover from various drug and alcohol addictions. However, they are not to be confused with a drug and alcohol treatment center. Treatment centers are different than drug and alcohol rehab centers in that they have medical staff on site (on the premises). Drug and Alcohol rehab centers don’t have medical staff on site; however, they do have easy access to them as they are typically located nearby. Having staff on site versus not does not make one better over the other. The end result is still the same, which is that the person gets the help that they need to get over their drug and/or alcohol addiction. With recovery centers that deal with drug and alcohol abuse, this is of the utmost importance.
