When writing sample cover letters you should make sure you are showing off your best skills, ambitions and knowledge of the company. I call the rough draft of the final letter a sample letter as it generally samples all different pieces of what you want to say in the letter and later this becomes condensed into what you will ultimately give them. When writing your cover letter make sure you are telling them what they need to hear not what you want them to hear. They want to know why they should pick you not why you want the job!
