Amazingly the only other horse in recent times to race in the Grand National with a mark of 170 or over is Suny Bay who finished a brilliant result of second in 1998. This really is a fine effort considering Charlie Brooks’ grey was trying to give 23lb to a Welsh and Scottish National winner in Earth Summit. So high class weight carrying performances are not out of the question in the grand national! Suny Bay’s performance also highlights that only six other horses were in the handicap proper that year out of a thirty-seven runner field.

For the past thirty years I have owned, or I should say have been owned by, pugs. My experience with them has been that they love, or some just don’t mind, wearing dog sweaters & sweatshirts!
It was a rainy, dark night in the country and I was walking my pug, Muggs, who was wearing his yellow raincoat with the peaked cap hat attached. He had a bad back so I purchased the raincoat and matching hat to avoid having his back get wet on nights such as this. After he had “done his business”, I picked him up, his back to the street, and began carrying him home along the road that had no sidewalks. A car soon pulled up alongside us. The driver rolled down the window and began to speak as I turned around. Suddenly he saw Muggs’s face under the cap. Looking horrified and then startled, he said, “Holy cow, lady, I thought you had a baby in your arms.” With that, he sped off, leaving me and Muggs to slosh home in the rain.

I really am amazed by those free quiz questions on that website. Where do people come up with them? Sometimes when I take an on line quiz I am completely stumped by the complexity of the topics and the quiz questions. When I see my results and how many questions that I got wrong I know that I have avery limited knowledge of some topics! Boy, just when you think that you know everything you come to find out that there are free quizzes out there that can teach you a thing or two that you had no idea you did not know…
