I just returned from my annual physical with my doctor. She really let me have it this time. I have to lose some weight since my cholesterol is dangerously high. I need to increase my exercise as well. That will be hard for me since I absolutely hate to exercise. She gave me some brochures that include healthy eating plans, tips for weight loss, and ideas for making exercise a part of your lifestyle. I am going to have to work on my attitude and get in the right frame of mind in order to succeed at this. Losing weight has now become necessary and I need to get with the program.

I consider myself to be a crusader and an animal rights supporter. That is why I also consider myself to be a dog rescuer. I have made it one of my goals to rescue dogs in need. I choose to think of what I do as pet dog rescue. If I see an animal that is running loose and appears to be uncared for or in need of medical attention, I promptly rescue them and take them to the nearest shelter. If the shelter is full, I will bring the dog back to my home and care for him or her until I can locate a good home.
