I needed to set up my office in a very central location in London. The market there is confusing and making all those calls myself was a huge undertaking that would just use too much of my valuable time. This trip is so much more than I’d expected. I didn’t think I would be able to find time to be on my own, but here I am, on a weekday morning, not in my office, not at home,but in a tropical paradise I never knew existed. My son is playing with the local kids, his mom is out and about shopping for Costa Rican pottery. I am chilling out in the shade listening to music on my ipod enjoying the breeze, the strange birds, the myriad shades of green shining thru the leaves of these bizarre tropical flowering trees. Last week my roommate told me that he was getting a fairly big tax refund and he wanted to do something nice for the house, a home theater. Last year he had lost his job and I told him he could move in with me. It was a little rocky at first ,but things smoothed out after awhile. He hasn’t been able to return my favor with too much cash, so I kind of figured that this was the way he was doing it. He told me that he had already picked out a good system, and that it will be coming in about one week.
