My husband and I were one of those couples who were “lucky” enough to get pregnant on their honeymoon. We were both twenty-one years old, and needless to say, we were not quite ready. Those nine months definitely came in handy though, because we read every baby book that we could get our little inexperienced hands on. I read books on health, and other general things to know about babies and parenting, and my husband was preoccupied with baby nursery decoration and other “logistical” things dealing with how to prepare our home. Nine months and 10 hours of labor later, we welcomed our first baby girl.
