I call my daughter the captain of destruction, because that is what she is. I know it is just the curious nature of a toddler, but sometimes her curiosity is so fiendishly clever that I wonder if she plans it. Like the other day; I was cooking dinner, when I noticed that it was way too quiet. I went looking for my daughter, and found her in my bedroom, with nearly every page tore out of the phone book directory. We live in Denver, so you know how many pages there were littering my bedroom floor. At that point, all you can do is laugh, and wait for mommy to come home and clean it up.

One of the hardest dogs to train are beagles. Beagles are stubborn does because they are independent and also because they have a great sense of smell. This means they can smell every new smell and when they do, they go running off to find out it is. One of the best beagle training tips is that you should be consistent in your training. You need to always be reinforcing the rules you laid down with your dog if you expect them to stick. Otherwise, your beagle will only be half trained. If you really want to train your beagle, you should consider enrolling it into a class. Beagles are hard to train and you will probably need all the help you can get.

Last weekend my brother was over at my house for dinner and we were catching up. He was telling me all about what he’s been up to since I saw him months earlier. He told me that he just started helping some friends from church with some yard work. They were installing a lawn irrigation system and then having a barbecue. It sounded very interesting, specifically because my wife and I were thinking about installing something like that as well. My wife has a growing interest in gardening right now, so we got all the information that we could from my brother.
