On Thursday night I was thrashed by my friend Kevin in the first racquetball game we have played in close to one year. This totally stunned me because in the past I would almost always beat Kevin;of course Kevin has lost weight and has gotten into great physical shape. After the game I asked Kevin about his changes. Kevin told me it all began back in April when he was flipping through TV channels and started watching a show that was pitting the nutrisystem vs medifast diets against one another. This got him to thinking that maybe he should have his meals delivered.

When we moved to our new house, we had a family room, but no formal living room. We wanted to be able to make the room work for our family, but we also needed to use it for when company came over. This meant that we needed some furniture that would work for either situation, and we started looking at tv armoires. We wanted to have a more formal look when we were entertaining, and by being able to conceal the television we could accomplish that easily. You’re still a physical greeting card buyer? Yes, I know why. It’s nice getting them. You can display them for a while and reread the handwritten message from that someone. Card texture, hand-made paper, or not. Beautiful images or funny ones… They have a lot going for them. But consider the cost in trees being felled for our human desire for sending christmas, birthday and valentine day cards. Is that really necessary? ecards don’t require paper and no postman, flying, shipping or trucking, saving heaps on greenhouse gas emissions. And there is a wide choice out there, much of it free. Case made I think.

After the divorce, I started earning a living on my own. I moved to a new apartment and got a promotion. I worked hard to build up my credit, because I had issues with it before. My whole reason for having the contractor apply the concrete sealer was to help maintain it for many years to come. I had spent an extra two hundred dollars on sealer and about seven hundred dollars on labor to have it done. The contractor was just about done when his machine sprung a leak and hydraulic fluid spilled all over the wet concrete sealer that had not had a chance to dry yet. My contractor does have insurance and is now paying to have my entire driveway re poured and then he has to seal it with the concrete sealer again.

You gotta love funny license plates. Driving is usually a pain in the ass; all the traffic, the red lights, the bad weather… ugh. Those license plates can lighten up your day though. Just the other day I saw a hilarious one: it had a handicap symbol (a guy in a wheelchair) and “TIMMAY” right by it. Clearly a South Park fan. Another great one I’ve seen was a Florida state plate. It read “ASSORGY,” and the O was the orange in the middle of their license plates. The worst I’ve seen was a policeman’s: it read “SEIZURE.” Damn.

I have used cash advance companies in the past and they did me right. I kind of like knowing that if I get in a spot I can click on your website and get the money I need till I get paid. My cousin introduced me to a wonderful website that carries a lot of educational software for kids of all ages. I have a young daughter who is just starting to read and is encountering some problems along the way. She is doing good for the most part, but she needs help with her vowel sounds sometimes. My husband and I purchased a program that is supposed to be helpful in that area. When the software arrived, we put it in the computer and watched her play with it for a while. We were amazed at how quickly she was able to recognize which vowels to use for certain words.
