What should be coverd at your singing lessons

April 26th, 2009

A few basic topics that should be covered under any Singing Lessons would be the vocal placement & posture. The singing lesson should essentially start with gentle vocal exercises like gentle humming or open vowel sounds. The second lesson would be to master the pitch & volume. Initially use simple scales to lower and raise the pitch of your voice smoothly, while you still maintain your posture and alignment. Specific exercises to help you make a smooth transition from lower to higher and back again to lower volumes must be practiced. This will also help you gradually extend vocal range while singing, staying in the comfort zone.
