Carefully Review Fees Before Using Domestic Transport Companies

One should always remember to ask a customer service agent with any of the Transport Companies in the country if there are any special fees or regulations that apply to the commodity being shipped. Depending on the company and commodity, there may be special packaging required to ensure your items arrive in tip top condition. It is also best to check on any fees other than just the shipping and fuel charges to narrow the possibility of any surprise charges after the shipment has been delivered. Many companies have extra fees for signatures, hazmat, over sized items and rural delivery areas. Being very thorough in researching fees before shipping will ensure no additional headaches for you or for the customer service agent who would have to explain the fees to you after the fact.
