We’ll Never Do it Again

They always say to not lend money to your family, but it’s hard to learn that lesson until you’ve been burned by it, unfortunately. That’s pretty much what happened in our case. My brother in law wanted to get a new truck and didn’t want to resort to auto loans for bad credit. So, being a nice guy, my husband co-signed. Not a good plan, it turns out. They were right! Never lend money to family, because he has pretty much taken us to the cleaners. He didn’t pay his bill and ended up having the car repossessed. So, now we’re paying the extra anyways. Next time I’ll be doing a credit check!
