Think back to the 30s when cars were being created. It was even earlier than then but the point is they were done by hand and it took a long time. Then Henry Ford came along and mass produce them. Nothing about websites. It used to be that to create a community of individuals you would have to have multiple phone numbers and modems to get everyone together. Now you can simply use a service such as godaddy hosting and they set up everything for you. All you have to do is click a button and you now have an active vibrant community because people can come to your site at the same time. Unlike a phone line where it is one person at a time you now have simultaneous users and thousands of them if you so desire. You could say that this type of hosting is equivalent to what Henry did a long time ago. However it appears that in the past things took 10 or 20 years to progress and now they seem to only take a year or two.
