How My Bi-Polar Disorder Took Over My Life

As a result of my mood swings, going from a manic state to a depressive state, I lost my husband. I was not working at the time that he left, so I was in a real bind. I went to the doctor to find out what was wrong with me because at the time I didn’t really know. I was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. I knew that I was not in a mental state to try and hold down a job, so I did some research to find out about possible benefits. I found out that there is a connection between bi-polar disorder and Social Security disability, and that I might be eligible for benefits.
