There is a way of filing free electronically. Yes, IRS Freefile is the way to go if you want to get you money back faster. Unfortunately, some of us face problems in which cannot be resolved until you contact your local taxpayer advocate. This independent organization within the IRS is headed by the National Taxpayer Advocate. If you have suggestions for improving the service of the IRS, the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel will listen and help taxpayers solve there problems. Go to the IRS website, print and file form 911, Request for Taxpayer Advocate Service Assistance. Taxpayers in each state can file this form.
