LPN jobs – what does an LPN do?

May 31st, 2008

Licensed practical nurses, also called licensed vocational nurses, provide light medical services to patients in many different settings.

LPN jobs can be found in hospitals, nursing homes, and through home health care agencies where they are licensed to give medications and take body stats like temperature, heart rate and blood pressure.
This is a fairly hard job with many hours on your feet and considerable need for compassion and patience when it comes to the patients.

There are also openings in schools, government agencies, and outpatient care centers which may suit some personalities better than the institutional settings of hospitals and nursing homes.
