The Perfect chocolate sauce

This is my mother’s recipe and I have grown up with it. In all that time not once has it failed me. It’s very sweet but not too rich so it won’t make you feel sick- unless you eat the whole lot that is! First weigh out 2oz of butter (unsalted or salted is fine) put that in a saucepan along with two tablespoons of cocoa powder, two tablespoons of golden syrup, one of sugar and four of Tap Water. Heat the whole thing together stirring as you go until everything is melted and combined and you have a thick shiny sauce.
