Recently I was scammed over the net and lost 100 pounds. Now some have lost thousands or more so I feel that I have got off lightly. However since then I have looked out for tell tale signs of the Internet Scams. I think that the main thing to remember is that if it looks too good to be true then it very often is. Another thing that starts the alarm bells ringing is if the other party wants to complete the sale outside of say, an auction site. Another thing that I always am careful about is if the other party wants immediate payment, or payment by electronic funds transfer or a wire service.
