Where Does Your Cup of Coffee Come From?
April 2nd, 2010
The coffee shop business gets their coffee beans from all corners of the world. The best areas to grow coffee beans are in countries with moderate sunlight and rain. Steady temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit is perfect with rich soil to plant them in.
Coffee beans usually come from Brazil, Columbia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico, India, Guatemala, Cote d’ Ivoire, Uganda and the Philippines. The Philippines is known to produce very little but the most expensive coffee in the world from Civet cat droppings. A pound of this kind of coffee can cost up to $800 to $1,000 once it reaches western markets.
