Why Don’t People Want to Enroll in Medicare Supplement Plans?

I have tried to talk my grandparents into enrolling in medicare supplement plans to help them save money on their medical expenses. I cannot get them to understand that they will be saving money each month if they do this. I guess they are both so old fashioned and set in their ways that they are afraid to enroll in something they are unfamiliar with. It breaks my heart to see them struggle to pay for their monthly checkups and prescriptions, especially when I know it could be easier for them. I just don’t understand why everyone would not jump at the chance to save money.
