Why Is The Forex Market Open 24 Hours a Day?

The largest financial market in the world, the Forex market, allows traders across the world to trade via electronic communication networks and phone networks in different global markets. From 5pm EST on Sunday until 4pm EST Friday, Forex traders can trade 24 hours a day and make money during these Forex market trading hours. The 24 hour period of the Forex trading hours can be attributed to two factors: varying time zones and the fact that traders worldwide conduct their business online instead of dealing through one common physical exchange that has a fixed time for operation. Europe, Australasia, and North America are the main regions that form the global Forex market.
