On the day of graduation there are many brightly colored plastic chairs that are set up in the plaza ready for the friends and family and the economic development to arrive from Managua and watch the aid program and the purple daisies that will be walking down the aisle. The back of the stage is decorated with sheets and lettering spelling out the need to nourish and protect and eliminate the cycle of poverty in order to empower the people of Diria and increase access to education. There are large speakers that play loud music and the students file in and sit in their red and blue and green seats that are covered with cloth covers to make them look nicer. The great thing about the Canary Islands is that there is something for everyone. If you love nothing better than a big loud and proud package holiday, El Hierro is not what you are looking for. If you prefer to enjoy your holiday being organised by teams of holiday reps, sitting in an air conditioned coach rather than from behind the wheel of your own El Hierro rental car, coming and going as you please, then you should go to Gran Canaria or Tenerife, not El Hierro. Due to its extensive volcanic make-up the island of El Hierro is not in the same league as its larger island neighbours. If you want a holiday where everything is within easy reach, within a vast hotel complex that offers bountiful activities day and night, El Hierro is definately not going to be your ‘cup of tea’. When you are trying to decide how to spend a few extra minutes that you might have in a day, you have a lot of options. Most people just turn on the television and waste some time. That can be enjoyable, but not terribly productive.
When I have a few spare minutes I like to travel the web and learn maybe something new about the news, or perhaps look up information on a country I have never been to. This really opens up my mind and makes me think about places I would like to go to, or maybe just enjoy helps me enjoy the pictures from other countries.

Sometimes taking an extra step can really pay off with your time and money. My parents decided to take the entire family to six flags for a vacation. This included Mom and Dad, four kids and 12 grand kids. What an adventure and what a chunk of change! My mom decided to do a little research and found some great six flags discounts and saved a great deal of money. She purchased them on line, so instead of the whole crew waiting in line at the gate we just walked right through. We all had a wonderful stress free vacation together.

Crazy to think how inefficient jet lag actually is. On a worldwide basis, it would be incredible the number of hours that are wasted readjusting to a new time zone. Both with business travelers not at their full mental capability, and with vacation travelers needing a day or two before they are really able to appreciate the sights they are seeing. Unless one of the lucky few that is not affected by jet lag, one tends to walk around in a bit of a daze for at least a day or two. I have read a number of tips to reduce the effects, and they work to varying degrees, but never totally.

The small island of Bali in Indonesia is just 95 miles east to west and 69 miles north to south. While there Ubud is a town to be enjoyed if culture is what your destination was about. While there you can stay in one of the villas bali. While in Ubud look at the museums and art galleries they are sure to give you lots of information and see some beautiful. The island is also a beautiful place to do some diving, with the coral reef almost surrounding it. Even the beaches are diverse, the sand ranges from white to black on the one island.
