Wine Cooler Helps Our Restaurant’s Profits
May 5th, 2010
I admit I was never really a wine buff. I opened my restaurant because I love food, particularly Italian food. I knew the old bit of advice with upselling wine with meals – that’s where you can really make a profit. However, I thought any old wine would do. And how wrong I was. In fact, most of my customers knew more about wine than I did, which was embarrassing. So I decided to study up on wine and the best way to store it. I purchased a couple of wine coolers and got some nice pinot noirs and grigios in which go very well with Italian food. Since then, my profits have nearly doubled.
