Different Forms of a Sinus Headache

November 29th, 2008

A sinus headache has to be diagnosed only by a physician. Do not come to a conclusion that you suffer from a sinus headache before thoroughly checking with your doctor. This is because sinus headaches are only slightly different from migraine headaches and migraines can often be mistaken for sinusitis. Physicians check your medical history and symptoms before they declare you as a sinuitis patient. They examine you physically and then take you through a lot of CT scans and x-rays to check the severity of your sinusitis. The scans and x-rays will indicate if there is critical swelling or fluid in your sinus tissue. The tests will also give your doctor an idea on how he or she should proceed with your treatment and medication.
