Make Your Babies Skin Glow With A Massage

January 30th, 2010

Massage has more than one benefit. Not only can adults indulge in this therapy but babies too can enjoy a session of massage therapy. In fact these days most doctors recommend regular massage for new born babies to make their bones strong and skin soft and supple. But since new born babies are delicate extra care must be taken while massaging their skin. For infants massage relaxes and induces better sleep. It also improves the body’s agility, blood circulation and body’s balance. The person who gives massage to the baby must have experience in handling babies. There is a special way in which babies should be massaged. The massage should start from the face and then moving down to the chest and arms. The stomach area should be massaged gently and in circular movements. This aids digestion too. Legs too need strong strokes of massage so that the balance of the body improves. We must ensure that we maintain proper hygiene while massaging the baby. Babies should never be massaged when they are unwell or immediately after their meal. If massage is done on a regular basis the baby’s sleeping pattern improves and the baby’s skin remains healthy and supple.
