Can you get disability with fibromyalgia? Fibromyalgia is a disorder that causes severe muscular pain and fatigue. Anybody who has been in close contact with a fibromyalgia patient might ask” can you get disability with fibromyalgia. ”? Seeing the obvious discomfort that the patient is in, most people would opine that the constant pain has already disabled the patient. To cope with the disabling symptoms of fibromyalgia, you would require a cross-disciplinary team involving your physician, physical therapist and other health care providers. The important things you need to observe in the treatment process is taking the medication as prescribed, exercising to keep your body supple, sleeping properly, eating well and making work changes if necessary. Take positive steps and you can resolutely say “No” to the question, “ Can you get disability with fibromyalgia”.
