Acne vulgaris is, perhaps, the most common skin problem. Changes in the pilosebacious units of the skin are the main cause of its formation. It affects those areas of the skin, where there is large conglomeration of the sebaceous follicles, such as the face, upper part of the chest and the back.Acne lesions are also referred to as pimples, blemishes, spots or zits. It generally occurs in adolescence, affecting more than 85% of teenagers.Mostly, it diminishes with time, but it cannot be predicted how long it shall take to disappear completely. Cases have been reported of ace at age of thirty, or even forty.
