Does Your Vacuum Cleaner Work Efficiently?
January 29th, 2008
Many people simply pull out their vacuum when they are ready to use it and put it away when they are done. However, there are some things you should do to keep it operating at full capacity. You at least should empty out the canister or replace the bag when it is full. Another thing that will really keep your vacuum cleaner at close to full suction is to clean any washable filters and replace ones that are not on a regular basis. The filter do a great job of trapping many things like dirt, but once they are covered they no longer let much air through them. If you operate your vacuum like this you won’t have nearly as much cleaning abilities as if you kept the filters free from debris. It is not difficult or expensive to do, but it can make a big difference on how clean your carpets get each week. Take the time and read the manufacturers recommendations and try to follow them as much as you can. You will be surprised at how much more dirt and hair you pull up and out of your carpets.
