Emergency Can Be Avoided With Fire Place Screens

April 25th, 2009

One of the things I learned about my years of stay in the house (previously my house as well) of my parents is to never neglect safety.  There was this incident where our house was almost relegated to useless pieces when my younger brother Ted (he was five years old then) left some fire into our carpet after he played around the fireplace.  It was only fortunate that Dad went out to drink water in the kitchen and saw what was going on. Still the same, we were already in panic at that time and we were on the brink of calling 911 for emergency response.  There is only one reason that can be learned from that experience: if only we had fire place screens.  I don’t think there is any reason for us now not to own the said screens.  I’ll be buying two pieces actually this afternoon.
