Needing Help with the Cost of Homeowners Insurance

I am currently starting the process of buying my own home. I have been renting for about 5 years now and am tired of just throwing my money away every single month. It’s time that I take the plunge and just get a home of my own. But before i can do that I need to know the costs that are associated with this. There is homeowners insurance for one. I have no idea even how to go about getting that, let alone the costs that go into that. I do know that having good coverage is essential for such a big purchase.
