the gold retirement gift

My husband is retiring from the Navy this next month, and I am so anxious for him to receive his gift from our children and me. We are getting him a set of gold cufflinks with his navy military insignia on them. I know he will proudly wear them every Sunday and on special occasions, whenever he wears his suit and one of his dress shirts. I am thankful that he will still have a need for cufflinks! And I know that he will love the cufflinks, to know how proud we are of him and that he has a memento of his career.
