It has taken me ten years to learn to drive. When I say it has taken me ten years, what I mean is that it has been ten years since I first filled out a provisional driving licence application. I have not been taking lessons for tens years. If that were case, I would be worried. Now as I go to take my first lesson on Thursday I have been thinking that it is a little strange how long it has taken me. My best friend, Stewart, would often make fun of me for taking so long. I think the reason is that he was there when I went to get my photo taken for the application form all those years ago. That was when I was nineteen years old, now I am twenty-nine and looking forward to my first lesson. I guess the length of time it has taken is testament to my laziness, but I am resolute now and cannot wait to get started.

My boss has just requested that I located houses to rent troon. He is going over there for three months to do some training for our European branch and does not want to stay in a hotel for that length of time. I don’t think I would want to stay in a hotel for that long either, but I’m not sure if anyone will rent a home for that short of a time frame. I’ve never heard of that here in America except for at say a beach, but they may do it in Europe all of the time. I guess I’ll find out when I start looking.
