From toning down display options, removing unneeded services and cleaning out unwanted files, you will learn that you can always get a little more speed out of your system.

1. A very simple way to Speed up Windows 2000 us to tone down the display options. This can be done by right-clicking on the desktop, going to the Display Properties and selecting Effects. None of these options are crucial to the operation of Windows 2000 and can be safely un-ticked.
